San Jose

Slow paced tico life, relaxed, happy, helpful, met a dude named Jose, taught me about Costa Rica while on a bus ride to Turribala, a beautiful town 2 hours from San Jose, bus ride was quick, sharp turns around steap cliffs, chance of death was high. Everyone here is all smiles and people actually take breaks, sit down, have a drink, RELAX, TICO life, PURA VIDA!!! Something we dont do in the states... So green, so beautiful, lush plants and succulant fruits. In the gutters you can spot half eaten coconuts.

The food is to die for. The weather seems to always be perfect. Hot sun in the morning that wakes you up, beautiful days, and nice cool nights. Imperial, la cervesa de Costa Rica, es bien y barato. Everyone here is beautiful and always dressed up.

So amazing.

And yet you can see so much sadness. Shanty towns, degraded infrastructure, beggers, homeless. Its hard to see that while walking around with my white skin and privelage in my backpack.

Heading off to the beach and the forest for a couple weeks. Wont have access to civilization till I get to Monteverde after that. Will write more then.

Peace and love.
